Good to know — from previous editions
Collected from organiser pages, press and participant reports of past editions (checked 02.11.2026). Conditions may change for 2027 — please confirm with the organiser.
- What it is: The biggest Hungarian off-road festival (41st edition in 2027, 8–13 June): competitions, shows, trials, family programme and a huge camp. A festival ticket is not a sports entry — each competition has its own registration.
- Accommodation: Camping is paid separately on top of the entry ticket. Four camping zones for tents and campers, including a quieter zone. The lower camp suits 2WD and big vehicles; the upper camp needs a capable 4×4.
- Food: Self-catering is the norm (cooking in the camp); food stalls on site during the festival. No included meals.
- Facilities: Toilets and warm showers; water and electricity available but not guaranteed continuously — appliances under 1 kW only.
- Reports: Press photo report 2026 (We Love Balaton): mud, dust, shows and a great community atmosphere; organiser's BABOD40 summary.
