Good to know — from previous editions
Collected from organiser pages, press and participant reports of past editions (checked 02.11.2026). Conditions may change for 2027 — please confirm with the organiser.
- Format: Multi-stage winch challenge in Devon (Challenge South West): historically a Friday night section, timed sections on Saturday and a punch hunt on Sunday. 2026: 80 scattered punches — no team collected them all; bog punches often need a double-line pull.
- Food / accommodation: No included catering or accommodation found in past announcements — expect camping at the venue and self-catering; confirm with the organiser.
- Venue: 2024: High Bickington, North Devon. The 2027 venue and dates (2–4 September) are provisional.
- Tips from helpers (2026): Look around carefully on the special stages, be ready for rope work and pulley blocks on the bog points.
