XXIV Zmota Challenge

Zmota Challenge is one of Poland’s most iconic and legendary off‑road challenge events, rooted in tradition since 2005. It is a demanding 4×4 off‑road challenge set in the rugged and unpredictable terrain of the northern Suwałki region with deep canyons, glacial boulders, private forests, bogs, peat and muddy meadows – designed to test both vehicle capability and driver strategy. 

The event emphasises challenge and adventure rather than strict sports competition, with an atmosphere shaped over many years by the off‑road community. 

Registration: Entry is by official application form only. 

Entry Fees:

• 1600 PLN per team (driver + co‑driver)

• +200 PLN for each additional person in the vehicle

• 800 PLN for a quad pilot

• Promotional fee for foreign crews: 320 EUR + 50 EUR per additional person 

Included in the entry fee are: route preparation and permits, rally stickers and T‑shirt, time measurement and official scoring, medical support, banquet participation and trophies for podium finishers. 

Base & Accommodation:

The main event base is at Gospodarstwo Agroturystyczne Kalinka – Półwysep 1, Wiżajny, offering 60 beds and parking for 80 vehicle combinations. Additional nearby guesthouses and agritourism stays are also available, many with parking space for off‑road vehicles. 

This setting offers participants the opportunity for local overnight accommodation and community atmosphere close to the event’s activities. 

Schedule Highlights:

• Thursday – Rally office opens, materials available

• Friday – Roadbook pickup and start of main classes

• Saturday – Continued trail navigation and evening banquet

• Sunday – Official results and close of event 

Zmota Challenge is widely regarded as one of the most demanding off‑road challenge rallies in Poland, attracting crews from around the country and abroad.
